Religious weakness, lack of awareness, and lack of education are the main challenges to easy marriage - Nizamuddin Qureshi
New Delhi.
The second convention of the Delhi Pradesh Quraish Conference (Regd.) was held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Hall F-19, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The convention began with a recitation of the Quran by Atika Shakeel Qureshi. It was presided over by Sanobar Ali Qureshi, Advocate, Supreme Court and National President of the Quraish Conference, and conducted by Dr. Akhtar Hussain Qureshi, Vice President Delhi Pradesh and Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Qureshi, Executive President Uttar Pradesh. The chief guest was Rajendra Pal Gautam, Chairman SC Department, Indian National Congress, and the guests of honor were Hon'ble K.P. Chaudhary, General Secretary All India Federation SC/ST Organization, R.R. Bagh, Advocate Supreme Court, Haji Salman Khan, Social Media Influencer, and Mrs. Atika Shakeel Qureshi, CEO Darul Taqwa. Special guests present at the convention included Mr. Anil Verma, Advocate, Mr. Saleem Ahmed Qureshi, National General Secretary Quraish Conference, Mr. Zahid Taj, Advocate, Mr. Aftab Alam Qureshi, President Madhya Pradesh, and Mr. Imran Qureshi, Kasba Kawal, District Muzaffarnagar. The convention's theme was "Marriage is a blessing, not a burden," and "Say yes to education and no to dowry." All the speakers shared their views, emphasizing that the extravagant spending and wasteful expenditure on weddings are having a very negative impact on society, and that the competition among people in every community to establish their identity through expensive weddings is not right. The convention discussed various aspects of marriage, including how to prepare young people for marriage through pre-marital courses and how to empower them to face the challenges of married life effectively. This is crucial to curb the rapidly increasing divorce rates in every community. Some speakers emphasized that daughters should be given their rightful share of inheritance instead of dowry, while others stressed the need for widespread awareness about the rights and responsibilities of husbands and wives and the importance of marriage. All the speakers agreed that the relationship between husband and wife is one of peace and blessing, not a burden. This is why Islam describes this relationship using the analogy of clothing. Many people in the Quraish community are sacrificing their time, money, and abilities to make marriage easier, and the Quraish Conference Delhi Pradesh, recognizing their services, honored them with the "Easy Marriage Warrior" award at the convention. Those honored included Imran Qureshi from Kasba Kwal, Muzaffarnagar district, Firoz Qureshi, Anas Qureshi, Haji Saleem Qureshi, Abid Qureshi, Iqbal Qureshi, and Dr. Iftekhar Qureshi. The chief guest and all the other guests were honored with shawls and mementos. Delhi Pradesh President, Mr. Nizamuddin, also honored all the district presidents with shawls and Easy Marriage Warrior certificates, including Mr. Ayub Qureshi and Mr. Faizan Qureshi. He also emphasized the need to organize Easy Nikah awareness campaigns in every town, district, and state, involving intellectuals from all religions. Society must ensure that no boy or girl is deprived of marriage due to lack of money, and there is a great need to hold face-to-face and introductory conferences in every community so that all parents can find suitable matches for their sons and daughters. Finally, he stated that the objective of simplifying marriage is to empower people financially, educationally, economically, and politically so that the country develops and all people remain connected to the mainstream of the nation. The Quraish Conference has created a separate department called "Easy Nikah," in which many office bearers are rendering their services. Mr. Qasim Qureshi, General Secretary of Delhi Pradesh, thanked all the guests and respected individuals for making the convention a success.
