Indian Journalist Association demanded action against Matka mafia for threatening to kill the journalist.

Matka mafia threatened to kill Ambad journalist Tarang Kamble.

Avdhoot Tak of Ambad and Matka mafia Ram Lande are having a land dispute in the court. Angered by this, Matka mafia Ram Lande threatened to kill Avdhoot Tak. On 8 February 2025, Lokatma News Channel's editor-in-chief Tarang Kamble prominently ran the news on his channel. Angered by this, Matka mafia Ram Lande publicly threatened to kill journalist Tarang Kamble in a goodwill meeting on 14 February at Ambad police station. There is a lot of anger among journalists due to the incident of threatening the journalist by the Matka mafia. In this regard, the victim journalist gave a complaint letter to Ambad police station on 14 February. But as the police has not taken any positive action yet, a delegation of journalists led by the National President of Indian Journalist Association Seraj Ahmad Quraishi met the Ambad police station in-charge and trainee Superintendent of Police IPS Siddharth Barwal along with the victim journalist Tarang Kamble and asked for further action by registering a case against Matka mafia Ram Lande under the sections of the Journalist Protection Act applicable in Maharashtra for the protection of the victim journalist. On which IPS officer Siddharth Barwal assured to register a case under the sections of the Journalist Protection Act and to protect the victim journalist. 

State Vice President Marathwada Javed Khan, Jalna District President Amer Khan, Sunil Bharti, Mujeeb Sheikh, Tarang Kamble and other journalists were present in this delegation.
