Grand Holi Milan function at Indian Journalist Association Jamshedpur unit.

Indian Journalist Association Jamshedpur District East Singhbhum organized a grand Holi Milan function in front of the district office located at Abdul Rahim Complex, Sakchi. This program was conducted under the guidance of Indian Journalist Association State Secretary Atif Khan and State General Secretary Women Wing Neetu Dubey and under the leadership of District President Anil Kumar Maurya.

As a special attraction in the program, the organization's Women Wing National Secretary Madhu Sinha and State President Shri Devanand Sinha were specially present from Ranchi. As chief guests, social worker Mukhtar Alam Khan, social worker and businessman Saurabh Vishnu, IPTA National President Shri Parmanand Modi, Murali Group of Institutions founder P.K. Murali, Hind ITI Director Dr. Tahir Hussain, surgeon Dr. Nilofer Ahmed, Dr. Deepak Mishra and social worker Imran (Toofani) attended the program.

 Among the ex-servicemen, a symbol of the pride and glory of the country, Sushil Kumar Singh, Rajiv Ranjan, Ashok Kumar Srivastava and Mithilesh Singh participated as representatives of the three armies. 

During the Holi Milan ceremony, State President Devanand Sinha mainly said that the Indian Journalist Association has put forward an eight-point demand in the interest of journalists. The main objective of which is to get a journalist protection law made, for which he has shared the things of meeting Chief Minister Hemant Soren and handing over the memorandum. The Journalist Protection Act should be implemented in other states of the country including Jharkhand, so that journalists can do their work in the society smoothly. The second main demand is that journalists should be provided facilities in toll tax. Priority should be given to the treatment of journalists in government and private hospitals. Along with this, he also expressed his views on other problems for the interests of journalists. 

All the guests shared their views on the importance of Holi and social harmony in the program. The program was conducted by District Vice President Kamlesh Giri. 

In this Holi Milan ceremony, the Bhojpuri Holi Mandali of Adityapur, which was conducted by Mathura Prasad, was the center of attraction. The troupe entertained the people present through traditional Holi songs. The sound of traditional instruments like Jhaal and Manjira made the festive atmosphere even more colourful. The guests present also enjoyed this performance.

The local district administration, Ganga Hospital owner Dr N Singh, Daya Hospital director Mumtaz Ahmed, Gulf Institute director Sheikh Faridullah, Dr Subodh Kumar were the main contributors in making the function a success.

Indian Journalist Association Kolhan president Salman Khan, district vice president Kamlesh Giri, Kaleem Khan, secretary Anand Prasad along with associate members Jai Kumar Das and Vishwajit Singh played an important role. Ganesh Majhi, Badruzzama, Vinod Lakra, Vipin Chandra Pandey, Lovely Tantubai, Priya Kumari were also present.

During the function, the members of the organization honoured all the guests by making them wear turbans and presenting them with angavastras. Along with this, Holi wishes were given by applying tilak. The members present applied colours to each other and celebrated Holi enthusiastically with dance and songs. At the end of the programme, everyone wished each other Happy Holi and the event concluded with a community feast.
