APCR Secures Discharge of Afreen Fatima and Others.

APCR successfully secured a discharge order from the Hon’ble Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. 

Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

The FIR (No. 38/2022) was registered at Khuldabad Police Station, District Prayagraj (Allahabad), against the individuals for peacefully protesting against the hijab ban in educational institutions in Karnataka. They were reportedly raising slogans and holding placards with messages opposing the hijab ban.

As per the court order, the following individuals have now been discharged from all charges under Sections 147, 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 3 of the Epidemic Diseases Act: Afreen Fatima, Sarah Ahmad Siddiqui, Sabiha Mohani, Md. Zishan Rahman, Farhan Ahmad, Mohd Saif, Javed Mohammad This discharge order brings an end to all legal proceedings against them in this matter. Advocate Osama and Syed Farhan Ahmad represented the accused on behalf of APCR.
